Hall of Heroes

These cabinets, which chronicle the history of superheroes in comic books and popular culture, are self-contained and fold out on-site. Side panels pull out and the hinged interactive front folds out and locks into position. • I designed the interiors so the front section clears the furniture and props when folded in. • My SketchUp models and diagrams enabled the build team to work confidently within very tight tolerances.

Plug in a 110v power drop...setup is complete.

I hid a 19" flat panel TV inside the period cabinet by mounting it vertically and hiding the bottom behind the table frame.

For the other displays, the shipping cabinet becomes an integral part of the presentation.

The outside "road cases," complete with coffin locks, are just facades. The top nested sections are raised by hand and kept in place with metal pins.

The figure was commercially purchased.

This cabinet, resembling a group of road cases stacked together, holds the Laser Lab interactive and the Wentzscope for another display.

The Wentzscope ships horizontally.

A monitor runs a series of brief action clips on a loop.
